"The Faerie Realm" - Solo Exhibit at Modern Eden
Modern Eden Gallery will be exhibiting my latest series of oil paintings, in a solo show titled "The Faierie Realm." Many of us had childhood visions of fairy tale worlds, informed by watching Disney movies and reading fairy tales. But ultimately, a child will realize that the real world often has unhappy events and imperfections. I've portrayed visions of a fantasy faerie world in which mortality is overlaid onto the vision, in the form of skeletal faeries interacting with the forest creatures. Although the creatures don't live happily ever after, they are a part of the cycle of birth, life and death, which nourishes the rebirth of new life.
